In Limbo

I am not a patient person even at the best of times. At the moment, however I am waiting for various things to fall into place and I hate waiting.

When something I am expecting arrives in the post this week, I will be able to do some other things which could have knock-on consequences all over the place. Do you follow?
I want to know which of these consequences will happen and which won't but until I can kick-off the process with my mystery letter, all I can do is wait and watch the paint around the windows dry...

In the meantime, I am fantasizing about buying watches and bikes, but doing neither, at the moment I want these two:

The watch I can have, the bike apparently not (yet)

I too fantacize about things I want to happen in the future and get very anxious waiting, I'm waiting on something now too.I tend to get the munchies alot when I wait.

Last night on TV I watched something on Globe Trecker, in Denmark. Wow, you mean it's daylight at 2 am in the summer? Man, there must be an awful lot of vegetation growing certain mos., and then real slack the winter mos. I'm so used to having the sun go down at 6 or by 8 but not by 10:30! We just forget all the things involved in living in another place. In this episode the gal went to Urdhus ? to a biking festival, and I thought, oh, neat. But then she said Viking fest! I hear it's expensive to live in DN too. Sweden too. Some friends of mine just got back from a 3 wk trip to Norway, he was born there. They had nice weather.

Limbo, I've been there for years,Acombo Limbo. If I could have sold this house I don't know what I would have done and still don't. But another watch will only tell you how long you have been in limbo, keeping the cash may help you get out. Thanks for the card I will open it on Saturday, and since it's my birthday I can do anything I want, well, legal that is. ajen

    don't buy either!
When you have reduced your options, something else may be more desirable.
G & I have stopped off on a day's cycling to catch up & hopefully post some photos.
    Regards /love from Luang Prabang.

  4. Di. All of Scandinavia is expensive and Norway is apparently the worst. 25% tax on everything you buy on top of the high wages that people need to survive when they pay at least 50% income tax on everything they earn. But there are some good things too. It is nice in the summer that it is light most of the time. It is dark a lot in the winter too though :-(
I think Urdhus was Aarhus, the second biggest city (whish is a small town by US standards)

  5. I can't afford the bike or I would have it already. THe watch isn't available yet or I would have that too. I will probably buy the watch at some point and I don't really care what anyone else thinks (except the wife and she has given permission!)
