For those of you who don't know, Grand Designs is a British TV series that follows people building or having built their dream homes. It has been a huge success and I think is inspiring people to pursue their dreams of building interesting houses.
At some point in our lives, I think it would be fun to build a house. By that I realise that fun is exactly what it would not be, but the sense of achievement and the fact of having exactly what you want afterwards would be huge.
Firstly we have to decide where and we are not even sure of the right country yet...
if you ever get exactly what you want it would be a surprise. So called architect designed stuff is full of errors and there are almost always compromises to be made. Reflects life really. Don't listen to the experts - it's the folk who have to live with the problems day to day that really have the solutions.
