Dentists

I had a rather unpleasant trip to the dentist yesterday. Despite the fact that i was only there for
a check up and there was essentially nothing wrong with my teeth, I had to endure a lot of that awful ultrasonic descaling thing and it appears that my gums were bleeding a fair bit too. Apparently I am unlucky that I get a lot of "tooth stone" as they call it here and the fact that I somehow stopped flossing has not helped at all.

The moral of the story is to floss every day, and that is exactly what I plan to do!

Ben has all kinds of wierd tooth implements in the bathroom these days, which he has never really explained to me. He is an obsessive flosser.

    I hate flossing.
I have to go to my dentist tomorrow to have a broken molar repaired - there's a lot missing.

30 min ago I just broke a tooth chewing on a stone (yes, a real stone!) that some stupid Bilka baker left in the bread! Never ever again will I buy bread from Bilka - so Jens the dentist in Soro will have yet another one from the family in the chair this week - fearing the worst...

I have to go to the detist tomorrow too!
I have been brushing twice and flossing once a day for ten years but he usually finds something to complain about.
Broken molars has always meant expensive crowns for me!
    Good luck MK

I am seeing the hygenist for the first time in about 5 years today- apparently my wierd implements are helping my oral hygene! The dentist is always please with my teeth but tells me to floss...... I rarely do infact.

(Fuses are lower down and by the place where the Franco Belge used to be..... they are also circuit breakers now.)

  6. The K is for Karen, not MK and I have explained where the fuse box is now several times!
I hope everyone survives the detists without too much distress.

If it will help anyone overcome their dentist nerves, we have a lovely book called 'Topsy and Tim go to the Dentist' which is available on loan (Tim needs it about every six months)

Try buying a waterpik - a sort of mini jetwash regular use of which has a considerable effect on the gums knows all sorts of crud out of the teeth - even after brushing.
