She's done!

I finished the new bike thias afternoon and it looks fantastic. It is a little heavier than I was hoping, but I am pretty sure that is down to the wheels. What can you expect for £125 for the wheels tyres and tubes?

I'm loking forward to having a proper test ride at some point in the Easter break unless the weather is as bad as predicted.

Bring the new wheels over in a few weeks & do a bit of painting while you are here.
    Your skills are needed!
You can enjoy bike rides together in the evenings.

For £125 at Halfords I would expect 2 bicycles plus free cycle helmets.Similarly I had to build the bike, but the kids declared it a "potential deathtrap" so I took it back and let Halfords put it together.Either the brakes are not quite right or I have turned into one of the alowest cyclists, so that only the better view from the elevated position gives it an advantage over walking; well, that and the basket which makes it a large shopping trolley. ajen
