Legoland

We had a great trip to Legoland at the weekend. I have plenty of pictures on my phone, but I don't have the cable with me at the moment so that will have to wait until later to get them posted.
The weather on Saturday was horrid, it was cold (8 degrees IN MAY!) and raining. Thankfully the rain disappeared in the afternoon and it gradually warmed up. We went on a few rides and then went back to the hotel to warm up and get ready for dinner.
We had a big Mexican (DanMex I think it more precise) buffet and too much to eat whilst J ran around with the other kids. The Legoland hotel is great for kids and the staff don't seem to mind the kids running around shrieking and Lego everywhere.
Sunday started with a hearty breakfast, I did the make your own pancakes for the rest of the family and then we hit the park again at opening time to do some more rides and look around a bit more. The little Lego world was pretty cool and I particularly liked the guy working on his bike outside his house in the Lego Beverly Hills.

The trip home went fine for the first 2 hours until we hit a serious traffic jam about 5 miles from home that took 1½ hours to get through. There was crying and a roadside pee stop, but in the end it was enough justification for us to have pizza for tea so it wasn't all in vain. I'm looking forward to better weather for next years trip...

Pics to follow.

I asked J what he liked best about the trip and he said "breakfast" because Daddy made pancakes - I believe he did score quite a few brownie points for that answer.

Isn't that pancake points? (Brownies being some sort of chocolate cake!)
