Finn D134

MK and I looked at a Finn dinghy last week and were a little unsure about whether or not we should buy it. In the end, I made a low offer and waited to see what the seller said. After thinking overnight (I suspect he told his wife what he was offered, he didn't want to say yes, but she made him agree to get it out of the way) he said yes provided that we collect within a week.

The scene was set.

Sunday morning we drove to Gørlev, rented a big flat trailer from the petrol station and then went to get the boat (dropping off the kids and collecting BHP on the way).

It all went fairly smoothly considering that the launch trolley has a broken axle and it was not exactly easy to pick up. It was home and delivered to the summer house before lunch.

Now it needs: a new trolley or the old one fixed, buoyancy bags, centre board supports fixing and some toe straps. Then we can take it for a test...

    She'd be tough!
    Boat looks good.
Well done - making a wife happy, even if not your own.
