Kitchen and guests

Mum and Jen arrived yesterday for a week long visit and it is really nice to have them staying. DK has moved into our room so that they can sleep on the futon in his room and it seems that we all slept quite well. DK is continuing his settling into nursery course and seems to be doing well, it helps that there were only 4 kids in his class yesterday because most of them as still on holiday.

Here are the promised kitchen pictures. We are still figuring out where everything should go and MK is denying the fact that we will need a wall cupboard to put cups and glasses in. I guess time will tell...

Wall cupboards seem like a good idea but need to be stepped back for clearance. If so could MK reach them? If low enough for her then probably may compromise gap above worktop.

Papers in Uk have articles about the 'Kinnock Curse' afflicting Helle Thorning-Schmidt. Is it a big deal or the usual cheating politicians whingeing? G

I love it!!! But then I have kitchen envy of everybody else's kitchen as you already know!!! I think the wall should come down between the dining room, contrary to popular opinion, but then what would I know!! You know what Ben will say - if you wanted a house wth a bigger kitchen, you should have bought a house with a bigger kitchen....I am up against more than wall cupboard denial believe me!

we can't be compromising no gaps now can we?
I have installed 400 square feet of wood floors and a kitchen last week. Working 8 days in a row.
I love the new kitchen. I love you all

  6. Helle Thorning-Schmidt is Niel Kinnocks daughter-in-law and is something like the deputy prime minister in Denmark. Kinnocks son works in Switzerland and commutes there each week from Denmark. He pays tax in Switzerland because he is there for the requisit number of days each year but his family lives in Denmark so according to Danish rules he should pay tax in Denmark because he "life interest" is based in Denmark. He has now agreed to pay the Danish tax but there has been a big fuss. I don't really know or care what the impact has been.

  7. BTW what gaps are you talking about? The gap you can see at the end of the cupboard is for the sliding doors and nothing to do with me. There are no other gaps.
