The Mile High City

Denver is known as the mile high city, can you guess why? Yep, that's right it's a mile above sea level.

It could also be known as the rather dull city, but at least we have seen it now and made our own minds up!

After a little retail therapy to get over the disappointment of Denver (which was tempered by a nice lunch). We headed back to Boulder for the traditional pizza evening.

I'll post some pictures when I can work out how to.

I suppose that "The rather dull city" wouldn't have the same pulling power for tourists, unless they wanted to check out the authenticity of the name.
Really, anywhere is going to look dull once you've visited Leeds!
Tropical storm here - I'm in the conservatory, being deafened, G having sorted out, not only Broabband, but the wireless bit, so I don't have to work in the study.
G is outside, in shorts, drenched, poking at downpipes, to avail ourselves of this free winter check.
At least the rain is warmish - it looks it anyway - I'm dry, clean & staying put!

Working backwards, as usual, Hi Tina!
How many days did it take to find the vehicle?
Hope that the planning is going well.

America is a wonderful place to live, but unfortunately for you Denver isn't full of centuries of history or charm, like so many cities on the East Coast. It is a fairly new city that I think was a cattle trail at one time. CO is known for it's grand and scenic natural beauty, but there is a great kid-frinedly Denver Art Museum, very hands on or inter-active. Maybe Jeremy adn family would like a train ride to Pikes Peak too.
