Ringing in the changes

I have been hinting a lot recently about changes falling into place and making vaguely vague allusions to big things being afoot. Well here is an explanation.
I have accepted a job with a company who I have been running a project with on behalf of a client. I have been working closely with them for about 18 months and thoroughly enjoyed it. Since the early days of the project they have suggested that I would be much better off working for them and I finally acquiesced to discuss this with one of their owners a few weeks ago.
These guys are a small-ish outfit of SAP consultants based in the outback of Denmark with an office in Copenhagen. So last week we agreed some terms and I have resigned from my current job meaning that in 2 months I will be out of the old and in 3 months into the new.
Therein lies the interesting part. In November I am taking a month to fit a new kitchen. The tax rules in Denmark mean that it will cost considerably less for me to take a month off than to get someone else to do the work and it will also be (sort of) fun.
Then yesterday there was a bit of a surprise when my new employer was bought by a Norwegian company. It looks as though this is good news as it will open more opportunities in the future than the existing Danish company.
Anyway, in conclusion, I have a new job starting 1st December.

Congrats! I know you've had changes on your mind for awhile. To me a new job is always such an important move, and I'm glad for you that you like the people so well! will you still travel alot?

Good news indeed - Norway is the richest country in the world so that might be more good news.
    What does this company produce?
I will be available by phone for kitchen advice - I don't think I can manage a trip but I am sure you are more than up to it.
Off to the de-militarized zone today

  4. The company is another consultancy, but they specialise in certain SAP products such as workflow to send invoices around companies for approval electronically rather than on paper. That is what I'll be implementing. The travel will be about the same as now.
