Shoe yearning

Since I decided to get a pair of smart winter boots, I have fallen in love with them.
The are made in Northampton, fit perfectly and cost a small fortune - all of which make me rather happy and smug.

The only real issue is that these are only really suitable for the winter so what am I going to do when the frost finally disappears?

I think I've found the answer...

Heating mystery and dogs

After a couple of cold and snowy day, the heating came back to life. I guess there must have been something stuck in the pump that came out when it all had the chance to cool down.
I dunno, but I'm happy that it's all working again.

Maybe some of you are interested in seeing the puppies. We will be getting one of them after Easter, but during the coming weekend, we will visit them again and decide which one it will be.

Viszla

Just for the record, we have not bought a dog yet, but it looks as though we probably will do. We have, after all, told the kids that we will so it will be very tough to back out of the decision now.
The Viszla's were very cute, as all dogs are when they are little puppies. We were more interested in meeting their owners and mother to get an idea of how big they are in person and how much work and training they need.

All in all, it looks quite positive.

Luckily the puppies were not cute and the kids didn't like them at all.

New book

Having just packed everything we own into boxes and having lived quite well without 80% of it for the last 2 week, this seems like a relevant one for me. It's a shame that the book will be clogging up my life though.

Swimming

I took part in the Danish Masters swimming competition yesterday. I didn't do all that well. 32,5 for 50 free and 1:14 for 100 free which was 2 seconds better than last time. 

Our team took home a lot of medals and 2 Danish records. It was a fun afternoon.

Cross bike

I got this just before Christmas but it took a few days to find the time for a maiden journey. It was lovely to be back in the forest on two wheels. My legs are still sore two days later but I am looking forward to another ride in the coming days.

The Danish Finn Championships

I've spent the last 3 days sailing (when the wind has allowed). I did terribly on the grounds of my lacking training and talent. However the sun was shining, there wasn't too much wind and the company was good as usual. The family also came over the see the medal races and join the dinner and prize giving.
